Why Did Kucinich Cave In To Obama
Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Dem. Ohio got a ride in Air Force One and came off the plane supporting the Health Care Bill which he had previously opposed.
The change of many votes to support Obama in most cases were the result of special deals given to Representatives by Obama and his administration. There was a blatant buying of the votes involving millions of dollars. Many of the deals given by Obama to buy the needed Heath Plan votes have been documented and I am sure more will come to light as time passes. In addition to the buying of votes, the Pelosi led house used manipulation of the House Rules to get the Bill passed
These aspects of the passage of the publicly unpopular Bill are potentially more dangerous than the Bill. It closely mimics the control used by facist governments to move past the will of the population to enact controlling legislation serving the interest of the government. Political demagogy is not something new but this administration has refined techniques for control with little concern for public protest.
The Obamanestas close the door to debate and come from behind those closed doors with a strategy for enacting their policy that cares little for opposing thoughts or public desire. What Nancy wants you will get. She is ruthless and her lack of intelligent thought does not inhibit her self serving drive to change our country to the image she has concocted with Barack and Harry. Rahm is of course on the sideline calling the plays.
The ruthless nature of this administration becomes more evident with each passing day. They obviously have a strong determination and will use whatever is needed to get the votes for their plans to change America.
Dennis Kucinich is a Representative that has never promoted a political policy with which I have agreed. His ideas are totally contrary to the very core of my beliefs.
Here’s a surprise: I have always admired Dennis Kucinich. He has been a politician with a determined dedication to his beliefs. He has not yielded to pressure and has stuck to his agenda which he always openly promoted. A reported criminal contract on his life when Mayor of Cleveland did not cause him to change the controversial fiscal policy he was pursuing. He plowed ahead with his thoughts and policies through tough financial years and many political defeats and finally emerged as a Member of Congress in a safe district. Through the years he has pursued highly unpopular actions which his liberal cohorts talked about but were too timid to take real action. Kucinich is an interesting guy. Politically on the opposite side of my fence but someone whose tenacity I recognized and admired.
What happened on Air Force One to get Dennis to walk away from his opposition to the Heath Care Bill. There is much discussion taking place as to what turned Dennis into a yes vote. Some have suggested an open door at 9000 feet may have been part of the consequences discussed if he continued opposition. I am sure that was not mentioned but there is no question that serious political consequences were laid on the table during that flight. Dennis was probably reminded that Chicago politics was involved and Cleveland was close enough for him to be aware that no trick was too dirty for this group.
We will eventually find out details of those money deals that swung many to a yes vote on this Bill. We will have a tough time understanding the threatened consequences that made Kucinich cave. It certainly wasn’t money. I am not sure I want to know.
