The Race Card
The Tea Party must be making headway in their attempts to put fiscal responsibility on the top of the Congressional and Administration’s “to do lists”. The NAACP has brought out the racist brush to paint the Tea Party efforts.
The Tea Party is a loosely organized group of citizens who are mostly focusing on issues of taxation and unrestrained spending by the current administration. There is no doubt that on the fringes of the movement there are some folks who are extreme in there views and take advantage of the gatherings to wave their obnoxious signs at the TV cameras.
The NAACP has ignored the sensible main message of the Tea Party. They have decided to focus on the few extreme fringe attendees at the meetings They are using the few as targets to cast unfair aspersions on this popular uprising of Americans, that are seeking to force sensible actions on the political left and all politicians of any leaning.
The NAACP is an organization that has it’s own share of fringe racists but the racist brush is only used in one direction. The racist charge is directed towards anyone that strongly advocates opinions that are contrary to the actions and individuals that are supported by the NAACP hierarchy.
The NAACP in their public denouncement of the Tea Party have ignored the strong public statements of Tea Party leaders in denouncing any racist statements or racist activity that is attempted to be included in their agenda. The leadership statements have clearly defined the thrust of the Tea Party as a search for fiscal sanity and an understanding that the peoples Will, must be recognized by the Government
The NAACP has declared that opposition to the Health Bill was a racist motivated opposition and opposition to Obama was racist in nature.
These charges are outrageous and obviously part of the strategy to quell any serious threat to the primacy of Obama and his administration due to a decline in Black support in the November elections. The Black vote for Obama was as close to 100% as any group has every voted for a candidate. I’ve seen figures that indicate he received about 95% of the Black votes cast.
It is clear what this racism charge is all about. It is about keeping their favored figure and his party in control of America. The NAACP is an old and formally important organization. They need to move into the current world and put away the hackneyed racism tool for good. It needs to be replaced by sensible discourse between Americans
The NAACP is closely mimicking the lunatic fringe that is trying to attach themselves to the Tea Party while creating racial conflict. The NAACP has self serving objectives in their outrageous comments. To oppose Obama is depicted as a racially motivated activity no matter why such opposition is happening.
The race card is worn and needs to be removed from the deck. The NAACP seems to only know one game and has no new deck to put into play.

AGREED!!!
These entreched Washington Elites need to go. Both sides. They don’t listen to us anymore. They think THEY know what’s best. It’s like they think we need to be governed by our betters instead of the people (Saul Alinsky comes to mind).

Buck,
Great points. I actually had someone get mad at me last week when I said that we should talk across racial boundaries instead of along them. I made the comment that the best way to end racism was to actually speak to each other instead of ourselves.
By the way, it’s time for another Boston Tea Party, but this time instead of tea being cast into the harbor I suggest we throw the politicians.
