Republican Clown Car

The other day I heard the Colorado Republican Party described as a clown car. With the governors election coming up in November the party has run their candidates car into the center ring. Then a bunch of clowns tumbled out as the contenders for the Republican nomination.

The mayor of Denver is the Democratic contender for governor and is also a clown with limited capabilities and easily defeated if a creditable opponent appeared on the Republican ticket. The Colorado elections in November are lining up as competition with Ringling Brothers and Barnum, Baily for the “Greatest Show on Earth” title.

It is quite a show but not one designed to unseat the incompetent administration that has run Colorado for 4 years. I hope this is not a preview of Republicans preparing for the November Congressional elections.

Political party operations are not needed at this time.(if ever) as a candidates primary consideration. Consolidation of party power structure as a main Republican effort is being clearly recognized by the public and will be rejected as the important issue. The politicians need to understand that an awakening is happening in the nation’s population and their ilk on both sides of the aisle is looked upon with mounting disgust.

I am a strong critic of the current Federal government administration. My failure in my posts has been to ignore the culpability of congress in allowing the Obama team to run away from Constitutional restraints on Federal responsibility.

We need to find candidates at the local level with an understanding of the relationship between states and the Federal Government as established by our founding fathers. Defense of individual rights and the Electoral College must be issues understood by those running for office at every level. Fiscal responsibility needs to be more than campaign rhetoric. It needs to be pillar in a candidate’s structure.

We have “clowns to the left of us and jokers to the right” and a ringmaster that has ignored the United States operating script written in Philadelphia in 1787.

We are in a sad moment as a nation. Our country is being dramatically altered in structure and the politicians are letting our freedom slip away while squabbling over political power issues.
