Obama in “08″ Stickers

I pulled into a parking lot next to a Prius that still had a proudly displayed sticker proclaiming support for the Obama candidacy. I thought that I probably didn’t want to see who was driving the Prius since it might be someone that I knew. I would hate to think that anyone I knew who had supported Obama was still openly displaying their mistaken action.

Everyone has made mistakes. It is part of life. Most thinking, mature adults learn from mistakes and move on to more secure actions with the knowledge gained from those mistakes. I don’t know what thinking happens in the mind of an Obama supporter who still is displaying that sticker. I guess they didn’t think through the vote clearly and have continued to have the brain’s reasoning cells turned off

I’m not asking for Obama voters to gather in the town square proclaiming Mea Culpa for the record breaking deficit, expanded war and the rights of citizenship being granted to terrorists in the trials being organized by Obama’s Justice Dept. The ill thought out Heath Plan and the proposal for Cap and Trade as well as the pull back from securing our borders seem to be enough reasons to scrape the sticker off the window.

The sticker got me thinking about a lot of related issues that need review at the end of Obama’s first year as well as the current activities of those who supported him. I clearly recall the protestors on street corners and at Bush rallys during the campaign. The Obama supporters were vocal and visible in their protests of the Bush Wars. Obama rode those protests to victory with promises to bring these wars to quick conclusion and have our troops’ home quickly. He further promised to close Gitmo within a year and end all the uncomfortable interviewing tactics practiced by our intelligence community.
We know now that he had no viable plan for almost anything he promised. He should be in the baloney business since he seems adept at producing that product.

The totally unanswered question is; where have all those dedicated opponents to war gone? They were at every Bush appearance and brooked no excuse for Iraq and were against any expansion of military action anywhere. The financial costs of war as well as the human cost were displayed at every protest. The NY Times ran detailed accounts of every life lost with pictures of our fallen warriors.

The evening news on TV covered with heartfelt detail each sad element of the wars being fought. I have no objection to reports that outline the horrors of war but the realization that the coverage was primarily designed for Obama’s political advancement is another sad element of the coverage..

The wars continue, Gitmo remains open and the Bush deficits look like child’s play next to Obama’s. The mess that Obama, Harry and Nancy and their administration have made of Heath Plan reform will go into history as an example of gross political incompetence.

With the failures, lies and broken promises surrounding every review of Obama and his administration, where have all the protestors gone? They seem to be content and in their lairs watching with a perverse joy as Obama attempts to disassemble America.

Obama in 08. This was perhaps our greatest mistake as a nation. I hope we are mature enough to admit the error of our ways and send Nancy and Harry to some seats in the back come November 2010 and Obama using the exit doors at the White House two years later.

I don’t think the guy with the sticker on his Prius has thought this through yet.

This administration had better start doing something about the employment situation or we are going to have Part 2 of the great recession.

The American economy is consumer driven. We ahave to get people in a better situation where they will once again spend money.

The Obama deficits are BECAUSE of the Bush deficits and reckless policies, genius.

Mary, Mary, Mary,

The real question is: How did you get access to my I.Q. scores?
