Obama -A Lame Duck After 6 months
Geoffry P. Hunt in The American Thinker has written Anatomy of a failing Presidency.
Hunt says “
“ Obama doesn’t have a narrative. No, not a narrative about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn’t connect with us. He doesn’t have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us.”
Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal said about Obama:” He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them.”
Hunt and Rabinowitz are both American thinkers and have succinctly articulated what I have been railing about with less than their skill for months in this Blog. Obama’s narrative has never connected with me at any level. The level of arrogance he has brought to the Presidency has had me continuously bewildered as to it’s origins. I have come to the conclusion that it is camouflage for his lack of management ability and shortness of intellectual capacity.
Hunt in his piece has given me a bit of relief by indicating that I have not been the only one puzzling over this issue. Hunt says::
“In the meantime, while we’ve been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he’s dissed just about every one of us–financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job.”
Obama is plummeting in the polls although not fast enough for me. His lame duck period needs to be accompanied by a Congress that is determined to right the disaster that is being foisted upon us by his alien philosophy.
Obama probably was born in the US and is Constitutionally qualified to be president. His qualification ends there. In the league of ex-presidents he will vie with Wilson, LBJ, & Carter for the title of most inept of our leaders since 1900.
Obama combines his arrogance with a continuously dishonest description of his aims and accomplishments. He really does not care about jobs and further has no interest in the small businesses that create jobs. While unemployment continues to hover near 10% he calls his programs a success. The only success he seeks is reelection. Surrounded by a cadre of like minded sycophants in describing successful accomplishments this is a repeat of the fairy tale about the emperor that “wears no clothes”.
I share Hunt’s hope for legislative gridlock after we elect a new Congress in November. We then can ride out Obama’s last two years and hopefully elect a leader who knows what he (or she) is doing and loves America.
