Obama’s Swine Flu Strategy
The Obama Administration talent recruiters must have worked for the Detroit Lions before taking the positions to help the President build his team. I have the suspicion that Carl Rove somehow inserted undercover operatives to influence the choices made for important Presidential appointees.
The decisions of this administration have me walking around with my jaw agape almost every day. The comment most heard from my wife is now” Buck close your mouth you look stupid with your jaw hanging down”
I’m not any more stupid than usual but I am amazed at the new level of stupid actions taken almost daily by some official appointed by Obama with the help of his talent scouting team.
Janet Napolitano The Secretary in charge of the Department Of Homeland Security is the latest show stopper in the Obama team. She has the security teams at the airports as her first line of defense against the Mexican Swine Flu. They have been ordered to watch for feverish passengers exiting planes that have landed. At the same time she has said that there is no benefit from increasing border control at our border with Mexico.
Let me understand this. We are looking for feverish flight passengers but are not concerned about controlling the thousands of illegal Mexicans that cross the border each night. This seems to be slightly shaky reasoning to me.
Great Britain has ordered 36 million facemasks to distribute to every one in the UK if the Mexican Swine Flu comes to their country. At the same time Janet, through her Supervisory team, has directed the Border Patrol in San Diego that they may not wear facemasks on the job while examining the cars and passengers coming across the border from Mexico. She further has indicated that no interference with the trucks coming in from Mexico should take place. She thinks they are too important to commerce to hinder their entrance into our country for Mexican Swine Flu mitigation purposes.
Cuba has banned flights to and from Mexico. Argentina is shutting down all flights to and from Mexico. Janet doesn’t think that the free transport of goods and people from Mexico into the United States require special attention at this time. Her strategy is to advise us to “wash our hands and prepare for a marathon and not a sprint”
It is hard for me to believe that Janet Napolitano was a first round draft pick for the Homeland Defense position. There definitely was a Detroit Lions draft team helping Obama in his pick.
It has been advertised that Janet was wildly popular as the open border espousing Governor of Arizona and that she was Valedictorian of her graduating class in college.
If Janet handles all of our Homeland Security issues like the Mexican Swine Flu I think that Santa Clara University might be looking into an ex post facto action to take back the Valedictorian honor. I always enjoyed my visits to Arizona. I’m sure I will move carefully in the future realizing I am traveling in Arizona, surrounded by many people that actually thought she was talented.
Janet may have talents but Homeland Security is not a job that has time for on the job training. Whatever the skill she had in gaining popularity in Arizona is not the skill set needed to provide leadership concerning our National Security. Maybe she could be moved to a Rural Electrification Administration position for a little honing of her skill sets.
The Detroit Lions revised their administration after their no win season and will make strides towards recovery. I hope that Obama does as much for our Nation and makes the changes needed to strengthen his administration team. Pelosi, Reid, Conyers and Geithner are hard enough to take but now to have planes flying low over the Statue of Liberty, changing the name of the Mexican Swine Flu to H1N1, no longer referring to terrorists as terrorists to make sure we offend no one and as a topping for this stew of wrongheaded thinking we now have Janet Napolitano as our Nations chief protector.
Come on Barack, give us a break! Now is the time to make a “Change.”

I do not see what the big deal about swine flu is…just sounds like some more political nonsense. It seems like the only difference between swine flu and the regular flu is they are keeping track of the deaths. There will always be new viruses sprouting, no sense in scaring the crap out of everyone every time one emerges.
