Karzai’s Advice from Obama
President Obama has given some advice to President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan. He has suggested that Karzai work on corruption issues and the drug trade as the important items to resolve in his second term.
I have advice for Obama. Get a plan together, that clearly defines our military objectives in Afghanistan and give the military what they need to meet that goal. Otherwise get out! I can’t believe that we have a Commander in Chief that would leave his military in the field sitting under fire while he dithers for months in Washington worrying about what his political allies will think about his ultimate decision concerning troop levels.
Obama’s decision making process as Commander in Chief is simply disgraceful. If he were President in 1944 the landing craft would still be circling in the English Channel. If the President was in charge in 1945 Col. Tibbets would have had to bring the Enola Gay back to Tinian for refueling 15 or 20 times while his Commander in Chief dithered. In the meantime troops would be dying waiting for the decision needed to end combat.
This President is long past the 100 day grace period that we give a new President. It is almost a year since he was elected. It is time for review.
He has taken over operations at Chrysler and General Motors. Ford is operating without Administration direction or financial help. Ford showed a billion dollars profit for the just ended quarter. The government Fiat/Chrysler deal is in trouble and recent predictions are that Chrysler will not be saved by this “give away” deal to Fiat.
Under the Obama plan for withdrawal from Iraq, violence there has increased dramatically.
The Afghanistan situation is without a plan other than to let increased numbers of our troops be killed.
The Stimulus is a failure and we are facing record deficits that make Bush look like a financial genius.
The Housing industry is in a deepening depression and unemployment is showing no signs of recovery (other than some bogus spin comments from the administration)
Nancy is about to puncture any hope for reason with a Medical Plan that will complete the Obama effort to make us a third world country.
Barack’s first year certainly is shaping up to take more than a few pages in history books to cover.
2010 may be our last and greatest hope for a turn around and that election year must end the reign of Harry and Nancy as the first step in the recovery effort.
