Join Me in Helping The President
“Most of you know by now that the Senate version of the “stimulus” bill includes provisions for extensive rationing of health care for senior citizens. The advocate of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle, was credited by Bloomberg with the following statement.
Bloomberg: “Daschle says health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.”" ( These first opening paragraphs are from an article by Pam “Atlas” Geller and stimulated my thoughts in this post)
If you don’t understand what this Daschle statement means I’ll give you my reading.
If you are an older person with a condition that is expensive and it is determined by the government evaluator that you do not have many years to live you will not receive treatment. The proposed plan puts a cost effective element into treatment for older people and if expected cost is higher than the amount they have allotted, you are on your own and left to die.
Daschle said it and I believe that much of the cost savings of the new plan will be a form of administrative euthanasia for older people. I believe they will save money by forcing the old folks to “be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them” and just go home and die.
I have had conversations recently with folks I thought were smarter than their current attitudes indicate. There does not seem to be a recognition that the Obama cost for a Socialized Health Plan must be paid with additional taxes and diminished availability of services.
I have had people say that we need clinics to take care of poor people. This is said with an emotional belief that people are on the streets sick and hurting with no care available. I don’t know what they are talking about. Health care is available to all. Clinics for the uninsured are available and do a good job. The medical talent and care in America is terrific. The problem that needs to be dealt with is the cost. Restructuring of the administrative cost of medical care is step one in addressing this problem.
The administration has a plan that will increase the cost by government administration and diminish services, especially for older folks. Is there truly any person with a moderate level of intelligence that believes the government operation of our health care will be an improvement?
The insurance companies are a costly element in the care process and need some restructuring. Obama taking over the health system is not the answer. He’s got a full plate learning how to run the auto industry the financial institutions and banks while reducing unemployment and catching all those carbon emissions before they melt the ice at the poles.
He is also in need to keep his celebrity status at the high level it has reached. Keeping the media under his control and happy requires all those press conferences and public statements. This is a heavy load for Obama and we have a duty as Americans to give him a hand.
You can start helping the President by writing your Senator with strong recommendations that the Cap & Trade bill be rejected. Tell your Representative that any Health Plan must reduce government involvement with administrative restructuring where money can be saved. This needs to be done without the Daschle euthanasia plan to let old people die to save treatment costs.
If we get Cap & Trade off the President’s desk into a circular file and get the House to think sensibly about Health care it would be a tremendous help for the President. He and the family could spend the summer at Camp David trying to figure where Bernanke and Geithner sent all the missing TARP and Bailout money. We all could go to the beach or mountains with a clear conscience that we have done our bit to help the President.
We then can start to think about immigration.

Chris,
You have the immunity list correct as to what will be included in the new plan. When your head is glued to the carpet I think you will find the heads of much of America glued to the same carpet. That may be an explanation for the mindless reaction by much of America to recent outrageous Administration proposals.

Hear This.
I’m hearing that the White House will be immune from the new health care proposls regardless of age. In other words they will continue to reap the best of the best when it comes to receiving the highest level of health care posible.
I’m hearing that all of Congress will be immune from the new health care proposals regardless of age. And I’m hearing that at least some union workers and government employees will be immune from the proposed health care plans so as to guarantee they receive the best of the best.
If this isn’t Animal Farm all over again then you could glue my head to the friggin carpet and I wouldn’t be more surprised.
Listen to Colin Powell. Big Government must go!
