Jerome R. Corsi on Obama
Jerome R. Corsi is a PhD graduate of Harvard who has written a number of books with a strongly right wing slant. His most recent book Obama Nation was written and published during the last Presidential election cycle. The book was given to me but I didn’t read it until recently. I dismissed it for some time as being probably heavily slanted description of the then Candidate Obama..
There is no question of the slant taken by Corsi but the facts revealed are astonishing. The most astonishing aspect of the facts covered by Corsi is that the media did not do the normal intense vetting of the candidate and continues to fail in their coverage of the candidate who became our President.
I think the President is doing an abysmal job. He was given the opportunity to do this abysmal job by an amazing set of circumstances. The Republican Party loosing it’s way under the Bush Presidency was the first opening of a door of opportunity for Obama and he and his party took full advantage of the situation.
Obama came from nowhere and the media accepted his charismatic presentations as evidence of a new day for America. Corsi was dismissed as a rabid neo-conservative and his detailed research into the Obama background was given little serious attention.
Corsi in the book details the tumultuous youth of Obama and the strong influences of far left individuals in his formative years. His father deserted the family when he was a toddler to go to Harvard on a scholarship provided for Kenyan nationals. When he finished his studies he returned to Kenya to reunite with his tribal wife. The young Barack was not any part of his father’s life
We all know that after her divorce of Barack’s father his mother married an Indonesian and settled Barack into school there. Later she divorced her Indonesian husband and shipped Barack back to Hawaii to live with her parents while she forged a separate life for her self
Many of the associations of his grandfather were communist writers and left wing luminaries of an earlier time. Corsi details these associations with scholarly care.
Corsi outlines the omissions and misdirected timeline used by Obama in his book Dreams From My Father and identifies characters referred to but not identified by Obama
There is little in the background of the President as outlined by Corsi that indicates any real preparation for his current position and actions. It is amazing that Obama maintained any capability for achievement with the bizarre upbringing to which he was subjected.
His mother was Stanley Ann Dunham. Her father named her Stanley because he wanted a boy. Her mother worked in a bank and was the provider of funds for the family and seemed to be the one rock of stability in this more than slightly different family.
Corsi has given me some insight into the reasons for the Obama actions to change America. He had a more conflicted upbringing than anyone I have read about or observed who reached high office in the U.S.. Never before has the media given such a pass on negative facts surrounding the background of a candidate.
That is the part that is hard to understand. There is no doubt that race was an issue and reporters tread lightly on issues to avoid the race card. It is time to put that card aside and review the proposals and motivation of Obama and report with the vigor and clarity that is needed.
If I were a managing editor here are a few assignments I would hand to my investigative reporters.
The Chrysler deal needs to be examined with explanations demanded as to why the Union wound up with 55% ownership and Fiat will be getting 35% while the investors are left in the exhaust.
The use of Tarp and Stimulus money needs to be investigated and reported. We know that Nancy Pelosi won’t give us the true story.
The intention of the Obama Administration, to pay for half of the Health Plan costs by reducing services to the elderly, needs to be reported clearly to the public. The effect on the aging population requires careful study and reporting.
We have had enough lies. We need the media to reassert themselves into their important role as the Fourth Estate.
The term, The Fourth Estate, is attributed to Edmund Burke(1729-1797) a British politician who said: “There are three estates in Parliament but in the Reporters Gallery yonder, there sits a fourth Estate more important far than they all”
We need a Gallery of Reporters to come forth and expose the toolbox of this Administration. which is filled with lies, deceit and Statist plans that have a real capability of destroying our nation.

Investigations are fine. But here’s what I don’t fully comprehend:
I always thought that first, investigations are made, and then, second, conclusions are drawn. Seems like you already “know” what the “correct” conclusions should be, which would contaminate your “investigation” process.
As far as Obama’s childhood, I don’t get your point. Because Obama didn’t grown up like The Beaver with Wally and Ward and June, he’s somehow twisted? Warped? Inadequate? “Different”? What’s any of that got to do with Chrysler, or healthcare reform? What are you trying to say?
I only dealt with the childhood aspect since Corsi wrote the book. He details the development of Obama’s philosophy and I set a 600 word goal for a post ( often go far over) Corsi does not hide his bias but details facts in a scholarly fashion. I believe that the Statist approach to governing is destructive to individual initiative. I clearly see the Health Plan of Obama as a boondoggle designed to increase government power over our lives. 85% of America that has a health plan is satisfied with it. Deal with those who need help but leave me out of it.
And you WILL be left out of it — unless your employer decides that he can palm you off on the government more cheaply than he can provide for you. THEN you’ll find out how much the “free” enterprise system cares about Americans and about America. If there’s a cheaper way to deal with an issue, they’ll take the cheaper way, every time, regardless of the cosst to society.
