Hostages held for a Pizza
In a desperate situation involving explosives and gunfire a one legged man in a wheel chair has taken five hostages in a Post Office in Virginia.
A police spokesman has said that he has made no demands other than for a pizza to be sent into the Post Office.
I hope that the police were savvy enough to find out what kind of pizza was his preference. I know that if the wheel chair guy ordered a pepperoni pizza and they send in one with peppers there could be serious consequences. There could be trouble and if he has explosives and guns it could be double.
I hope all turns out well for the hostages and that the pizza is hot when it gets there. If somebody had a pistol behind the counter this situation could possibly have been short lived. These type of incidents cry for the carry rules to permit sane, properly vetted citizens to be armed if they take a safety course and are checked out before being licensed to carry a weapon.
The hostages are in my thoughts and hopes for a safe resolution. I’m sure that there is more to this than a demand for a hot pizza as has been reported
