Health Plan Duplicity
The Congressional Budget Office has analysed the Presidents Heath Plan proposal and determined that it will raise the cost of health care in America significantly. The Congressional Budget Office is the independent tool of Congress that projects for them the expectation of the costs of proposed legislation they are considering.
The President has reportedly told Democratic Congressional members if they don’t pass his bill they will be destroying his Presidency. I didn’t understand that his Presidency was what was being debated . I thought we were talking about a reform of HEALTH Care that would benefit the public not enhance his Presidential grandeur as the goal of this legislation
The President has been touting the plan as a cost saving plan over current costs in complete contradiction to the predictions of the Congressional Budget Office. Obama gives no source for his statements claiming cost reductions other than his grand pronouncement.
This push to get his plan enacted must rank among the most duplicitous actions of a President in memory. He has not commented on the concerns of others that his predictions of cost reduction are without foundation. This has become an ego trip by Obama with no concern for the dimunition and socialization of our medical system that will take place under the guise of reform.
Obama really believes he knows all. He served 150 days in the Senate and ran a neighborhood group as preparation to change all elements of our society to his vision of how this country should be structured. We cannot let this happen.
Press your elected representatives to stop the insanity and take the time to find the way to sensible reform. The President must be taught by Congress that an Oligarchy of Obama ,Nancy, Harry and Rahm is really not the American form of government

George Herbert Walker Bush (41) once said, “Read my lips, no new taxes” and that became the impetus for his single term in office. There were new taxes and the voters responded when his staunch promise was not kept.
Obama has said that this new health care proposal will not cost taxpayers a single penny…and he adds, “I mean it”. Will this be Obama’s “No new taxes”? Probably not because the bill as proposed will not go into effect until 2013, after the next Presidential election. This does 2 things for Obama. Keeps it no cost until after the election and gives him the win for the effort.
Here’s they key question. Why does something that is not scheduled to go into effect until 2013 have to be passed by Congress and signed by the President before the August break? The answer is simple. The President and Congress both know that if we have time to review and consider this bill, the public will not accept it. They also know that the voting public has a short memory. Once passed, we will grumble and groan, but it is another 15 months before we vote again.
Demand that our Congress act responsibly. Whether or not you agree with the policy, the process must be preserved. No more lying about what the CBO does and does not say. No more passing bills before the ink is dry. They need to take the time to do it right.
