Health Care Public Option Dispute
The Democrats in Congress announced today that they didn’t care what the public, the Republicans or the President thought about the Public Option in the Health Care Bill.
Nancy and her “No Nothings” in Congress indicated that the Public Option would stay despite the polls which show that the public is not interested in government control of the nations health. Republican are interested in reform but not in a government take over. There are many Democrats ready to support private sector co-ops as a viable option to the the Public Option Plan.
Nancy and her radical left wing element say that the government control of health must stay in the Bill. The public, the Republicans and even the President will not have a voice in the reform of our Health Care unless they are singing Nancy’s song.
The current excitement started when Obama on Friday backed off a bit and said that the Public Option was not absolutely necessary if someone came up with a workable private alternative. The radical left wing immediately reacted with angry defiant threats to defeat any bill that did not give the government control of our health care. The President’s spokesperson (Gibbs) backed off the issue this morning in deference to Nancy’s minion’s threats. There seems to be a waffling going on at the highest level of Democratic circles. The Left is flexing their muscles and pushing for a continuing momentum of government takeover of all important elements of American commerce.
Make no mistake that this is a financial takeover play by the Democrat radical left. Health Care represents about 1/6 of the GNP and Nancy wants it in her Congressional safe deposit box. Government ownership of this element of our society will help her maintain control of the legislature and the takeover of further elements of society that still have a level of independence.
If anyone thinks that Nancy and her Left Wing buddies have any real care for our health or care for our economic well being, or care for American traditions of independence and Constitutional protection, think again. Statist philosophy starts with a drive for central government control of the elements of independence, individual opportunity and self reliance that have been the strength of our country since it’s formation.
The insidious undermining of our Nation’s founding tenants has been a creeping cancer like change that has been happening for years. Under Nancy and Obama’s leadership the creeping days are over. They are racing for complete control before America becomes fully awake to the trampling of our traditions that is taking place.
There seems to be a crack in the juggernaut that has been ramming legislation of the Left down our throats. The Health Care Bill presents an opportunity to regain our senses and move away from the Radical Left proclamations that Obama is some kind of incarnation as lord of the world or the current version of Elmer Gantry.
Neither image is what we need. Scary Nancy is enough to make any thinking person take pause and reflect seriously about starting to work to take back our country from these Statist radicals.
2010 is coming!

The funniest argument I have heard for all of this is the concept of “you will still have a choice between the public option and your private care”. The two things that strike me the most here are: (1) When companies are forced to pay confiscatory fees and taxes to provide you with health care, you will be dropped from your existing plan and forced into the public option. (2) Why did they not accept the statement of choice when Bush proposed privatizing some of your social security account? Even that was a true “opt-in or opt-out” plan, the rhetoric was that it would force people to lose their retirement savings.
Do you remember the TV show Logan’s Run(1977-1978)? In the show, anyone turning 30 was terminated because there were limited resources on the planet. As crazy as that show was, we really are heading in that direction. As people find out more about the plan, they grow more steadfastly against any “public option” and want true reform instead of what is being rammed down our throats like a tongue depressor.
Consider this, “You can’t have progress without change, but not all change is progress”
