Democrat Senators Lined Up
Harry Reid looks like he will succeed in lining up the votes to start debate on the Health Bill. Reports are that the last few votes have been promised some goodies that will ensure their vote.
It is somewhat amazing the every Democrat is being hypnotized into supporting a bill that a growing number of their constituents oppose with increasing vigor. The American public is once again showing more sense than their majority representatives in The House and Senate.
The Democratic candidates for governor in New Jersey and Virginia were recently defeated. There was a Democrat incumbent defeated in New Jersey and the Republicans replaced the Democratic control of the Virginia Governors office. In Virginia a governor may only serve one term and the Democrats controlled that office until this election.
The Democrats are close to passing a strongly opposed Health Bill just when the President has dropped below 50% approval rating in the major polls. Obama is less popular than George Bush was at a comparable point in his presidency. These Democrats are more dangerous than if they were simply politicians. They are dangerous ideologues.
A political process which tempers action based on the wishes of the governed has disappeared from this administration’s consideration. What we think does not matter to them. They are convinced that they know what we need and are determined to give it to us no matter what we think
There is no longer any question that Obama and his party are leading us into a new era that mimics the totalitarian actions of oligarchies we have seen destroy freedom throughout history. If your dictionary is not handy an oligarchy is the rule by a few individuals. The few of this administration determined to rule us are easily identified by their attitude and actions. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Emanuel are the Oligarchy rapidly forming . The power will narrowly evolve to these few. Dodd, Kerry, Schumer and others will be marginalized and lose any semblance of real power as control of the agencies of government become subject to the political pressure of these few.
Some may see this as unlikely but the actions of Reid and the Senate this weekend will be a foreshadowing of what we can expect. The reaction of the administration to the public rejection of their plans to take over the management of the nation’s health is clear. The do not care. We can only hope that here are at least a few Democrat Senators who care that the American public is objecting to the Obama Administration’s plans for a Statist takeover of another 17% of the Nation’s economy. This is what the health Plan Bill will do in the first instance. Worse will follow.
We need a few Democrat Senators with courage. History will reward those that step forward to preserve our Nation. That is truly the issue. Will America still exist or will we become another example of Socialist mediocrity?
