Buck Says: The Stimulus Plan is Kicking in?
I’m starting to sit back and get ready to relax over the recession. The President flew to Columbus Ohio to announce the beginning of the end of the recession. The occasion was the retention of 50 police cadets in Columbus as a result of the Stimulus. I’m glad to see that the momentum is increasing with the job retention figures skyrocketing.
These 50 jobs are a dramatic increase over the 20 Solar Panel manufacturing jobs that were saved a few weeks ago when the President signed the Stimulus Bill in Denver. The 50 police jobs saved are more than double the 20 Solar Panel jobs saved. When the saved teaching jobs are announced I may become euphoric and unable to contain myself in anticipation of the possibility of new government jobs taking control and eliminating this recession completely.
It will be such a relief if we don’t have to worry about all those automobile jobs. I’ve been in a complete tizzy trying to figure out how the auto industry could be revived. There would have to be increased sales as a result of building cars that people wanted. We would have to straighten out the credit system so that people could finance those newly designed cars after they were convinced to buy them. It seemed too complicated to accomplish in any time soon.
We then probably would have to start worrying about all those other workers who made products to sell. Computers, hard drives, boats, restaurants, tires, furniture, appliances, homes and on and on with no end in sight.
I knew Obama was a smart guy and he has figured a way to skip all the bother of production , marketing and sales as the engines of prosperity. He is just going to empty the unemployment lines by hiring government workers, police, fireman and teachers. We may have a cop on every corner a fire hose hooked up and manned at every hydrant and a teacher showing up each morning at the doorstep of parents with school age children.
Food stamps for all and every worry of living taken care of by the Stimulus Plan and the Obama vision for America. What a great time to be an American.
