Brian Williams Interviews Obama
In his interview with the President, when Williams raised the issue of almost 20% of American thinking that the President was Muslim, Obama gave an interesting response. His answer did not address his actions as being any part of the cause for the public perception. He alluded to the new media and it’s contentious nature as the cause of the publics perception concerning his religion.
Although not asked, he brought up the missing birth certificate as part of his answer by saying he couldn’t go around with his “birth certificate pasted to his forehead.” This was very curious since Williams had not raised the birth question. Brian once again disappointed by failing to ask a real reporters question next, which would be: Mr. President since you raised the issue why don’t you show the public your birth certificate rather than simply the Certificate of Live Birth which is on the Internet?
NBC has become a public relations firm for the support of Obama and the Progressives rather than a news organization. Williams asks softball questions and on MSNBC Chris Matthews was leading a mean spirited description of Glenn Beck and the 500,000 or more people that attended his rally in DC on Saturday.
The dismissal of Beck and his huge rally by Matthews and other Progressives is indicative of their disregard for the opinions of Americans who disagree with their Statist goals.
I have never seen the Glenn Beck TV show but have heard bits and pieces of his radio show while riding in the car. My limited knowledge has not shown him to by any kind of lunatic, as Joe Klein described him on the Matthews show. The dismissal of Beck’s rally as silly for having Restoring Honor as its centerpiece struck me as curious. I always thought that Honor was a valuable trait but evidently the Progressive press thinks not.
It is clear that the tactics of Saul Alinsky which are to denigrate opposition without regard to truth will be the tactics used in the upcoming election campaign. To oppose Obama will be characterized as a racist act. Matthews foreshadowed the tactics when he recently described those questioning the Presidents citizenship qualification as trying to “assassinate his presidency” with bigotry as the centerpiece of opposition. Matthews in his diatribe made no comment about or reason for all records of Obama’s background being hidden from public view
The Huffington Post yesterday published a $100,000 reward offered to anyone who could produce a sex tape or other proof of indiscretion by Glenn Beck that could be used to discredit his efforts. I understand that Huffington took the offer down after the outcry over such an outrageous offer became overwhelming.
It is bewildering to me how we got an administration that has no sense of obligation to the desires of the American public. Those people lined up at the Beck rally were Americans demonstrating their displeasure at the actions of the politicians who currently are running the country.
There is something happening here! Chris, Joe, Huffington, Brian and all the President’s people have missed this train, which will be reaching it’s first stop in November.
