Back Problem & An Obama Brain Cramp

I haven’t been writing diligently because, a week ago I re-injured an old back problem that has plagued me off and on from my days in the Corps. The initial injury was not received on foreign shores in a perilous activity. It happened while simply messing around wrestling with a service friend while stationed in Florida. .

The administration got a week off from my critiques since getting to my office could only be accomplished by litter or gurney. I was able to watch TV and review the Presidents clarion call to have an up or down vote on his health bill.

Watching his performance gave me a brain cramp that rivaled the back pain I was suffering. With the passing of a few more days the back pain will be controlled. If the President gets his bill passed we will all have financial cramps into the distant future. The arrogance and ideological strategy of this administration should now be apparent to any thoughtful observer.

Obama and his so called Progressive supporters are determined to reshape America into a society dominated by government control of all important aspects of life. The obvious opposition that is rising among Americans to the direction we are being led by Obama has no effect on his actions. He is forging ahead with a grim countenance determined to get control of the Health Issues with his vision overriding any objections of the population. He has taken control of the American auto industry, banks and the financial sector. Health Care, representing 1/6 of the nations economy, is the next sector he and his Progressive cohorts are determined to take over as a government owned activity.

The very heart of America framed by our founders, has been the opportunity for individual success and the constitutional protections for individuals from an oppressive government. The Constitution is the contract between individuals and the Federal Government under which liberty and prosperity has flourished. The idea that the Constitution is a living-evolving document is false premise. It is not only false it is an idea being promoted by those who want to break the contract and revise the Founders work to meet their own ideological goals.

The Constitution has as a part of it’s contractual agreement a provision for amendments. Changes can be made under these provisions for amendment, not by Progressive court revisions and interpretations.

I have operated under contractual agreements in my business life more times than I can recount. I have never thought of those contracts as living documents subject to revision by any participant simply because they wanted to fulfill the terms of the agreement in a manner that seemed to be a better way to do the deal.

This is exactly what the Obamanistas seek to do one step at a time. They and their Progressive antecedents are determined to disassemble the founding principals of our nation to meet their vision of how life should be lived by Americans, with their government directing our actions. That is not the picture I envision for my future.

America is beginning to realize the fraud that is the Change as promised by Obama.
The people are starting to say: Obama is not the deal we were looking for…. Bigger government is not going to be part of the future envisioned by a the rapidly growing opposition to Obama’s enormous deficits and legislative direction.

Ronald Reagan once said: “’The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’

And how about the last President who trampled so hard over the constitution that it is barely legible and saw the highest increase in non-defense discretionary spending in history? Obama is just cleaning up the mess and trying to right our country at the same time from years of abuse by the last few Presidents. And he’s doing just fine. You sound like Fox News, Bud.

Mary, Mary, Mary,
You may not have noticed but Bush is gone. Obama has increased the deficit more in a year than Bush did in 8 years.
The 7 million unemployed might also dispute whether Obama “is doing fine”

Back problems are the worst, hope you are fighting fit again soon!

Bush presided over the largest increase in non-defense discretionary spending in history and his inane wars caused a near depression that Obama is only cleaning up. And doing it successfully I might add, despite the obstruction and sore losers on the right. GDP grew at the highest rate in 3 years and, while not out of the woods yet, the jobs numbers look good as well. Meanwhile a year ago we were on the brink of a depression. I’d say he’s doing just fine.
